Terms of Service
Welcome to Dhobify. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Dhobify mobile applications, websites, and any related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use Dhobify
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements. Vendors must additionally hold valid identification (Aadhaar) and the right to provide laundry services in their service area.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your phone, OTP, and account credentials safe.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile up to date.
- You may not impersonate another person or create an account on behalf of someone without authority.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
3. The service
Dhobify connects laundry vendors with customers who request pickup, washing, and delivery of clothes. Bookings are entered into directly between the customer and the vendor; Dhobify acts as a marketplace and is not a party to that booking contract unless we expressly say so in writing.
4. Vendor responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver bookings within the agreed pickup window or communicate delays promptly.
- Take photos at pickup and delivery as proof of condition and item count.
- Handle items with reasonable care and follow the agreed service (wash and fold, ironing, dry cleaning, etc.).
- Collect payment from the customer at the agreed time and price.
- Comply with all applicable laws and tax obligations on the income earned through the Service.
5. Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate pickup and delivery information.
- Be reachable on the supplied phone number during the pickup window.
- Pay the agreed amount at the agreed time. Currently payments are made directly to the vendor via UPI or cash; Dhobify does not collect payment on behalf of vendors.
6. Fees and payments
Payments are made directly between the customer and the vendor via cash or UPI at the time of delivery. Dhobify does not collect, hold, or process any payments and does not have access to your bank accounts, UPI accounts, or payment methods.
Dhobify is currently free to install and use for vendors and customers. We may introduce service fees, subscription tiers, or commission in the future and will provide reasonable notice before doing so.
7. Cancellations and disputes
Customers may cancel a booking before the vendor has begun pickup. Vendors may decline a booking they cannot fulfil. If items are damaged, lost, or there is a payment dispute, contact support@dhobify.app within 7 days; we will help mediate but the final responsibility for the items lies with the parties to the booking.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to break the law or harass any person.
- Upload illegal, infringing, or sexually explicit material.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its security.
- Submit fake bookings, manipulate ratings, or create fraudulent accounts.
- Use the Service to send spam or unauthorised messages.
9. Intellectual property
The Dhobify name, logo, software, and content remain our property. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Dhobify apps for the intended purpose. You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, messages) and grant us a worldwide licence to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dhobify and its affiliates disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dhobify will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us during that period or (b) ₹5,000.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Dhobify harmless from any claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party right.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Service to you would harm Dhobify or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, Governing Law) will survive.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@dhobify.app so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will revise the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
